More than 50 local government attorneys, law enforcement officers and prosecutors from Utah, Nevada and Arizona attended the NLC PROTECTS Seminar in Salt Lake City. The conference, held on September 26th and 27th, was well received by attendees. Comments praised the knowledge and experience of the speakers, the diverse topics relating to child sexual exploitation and obscenity that were covered, and the quality of the reference materials received by each attendee.
Keynote speakers were Jill Manning, a clinical therapist who has testified before Congress; Brent Ward, the Director of the Department Of Justice Obscenity Task Force; and Anne Freimuth, Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Utah.
The conference in Salt Lake City was the third of 15 seminars to be held across the U.S. in an effort to educate law enforcement officers and attorneys on child sexual exploitation and obscenity crimes.
