NLC PROTECTS Attendees Named Child Defenders for November 2007 Print E-mail

In January 2007, the NLC produced the third NLC PROTECTS seminar in Louisville, KY.  Two of the attendees from that seminar, Detective Dan Jackman and Assistant U.S. Attorney Ann Claire Phillips, were recently in the news due to their work on a significant child pornography case.

Jackman, of the Louisville Metro Police, and Phillips, of the Western District of Kentucky, were responsible for the investigation and prosecution of a child pornography case against Gary Neagle.  The Louisville Courier-Journal reports that Neagle, a 44-year old Louisville man, plead guilty to recieving and possessing child pornography. The story reported that Neagle had accessed the child pornography through the local public library and that library officials were cooperative in the investigation.  To read the full article on the plea, click here.

The NLC is proud to recognize these former attendees of the NLC PROTECTS Seminar Series as the Child Defenders of the Month for November 2007.

The presentation was reported on several Louisville news outlets including:

WDRB Fox 41 TV - Louisville

WHAS 11 TV (ABC)- Louisville

Louisville Courier-Journal
