Executive Director Richard Whidden spoke at the January meeting of the Connecticut Association of Municipal Attorneys (CAMA) on the topic of local government sex offender regulation. The talk was held presented in Middletown, Connecticut on January 25. Mr. Whidden spoke on the case law and current legal methods used by local governments to address convicted sex offenders in their communities.
The talk was timely since one Connecticut community, Danbury, adopted a safe zone ordinance which is reported in a recent news article which also highlights Mr. Whidden's presentation.

To assist the National Law Center in its mission to protect
children from sexual exploitation, SRT will be demonstrating investigative
tools and techniques related to wireless devices at our Tampa (March 17-18) and
San Diego (May 20-21) law enforcement seminars.
