NLC Participates in Wall Street Journal Debate Print E-mail

j0386306Executive Director recently Richard Whidden engaged in a debate on on-line child safety and the steps that should be taken to protect children in cyberspace. Richard argued that while filtering and education are helpful, the rate of children being exposed to unwanted sexual material has risen and more needs to be done to protect children on line.

The debate was published in the Wall Street Journal On-line edition on November 10, 2006.

Trafficking sweeps successful

ALEXANDRIA, Va.- June 27, 2008-The National Law Center for Children and Families (NLC), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to combating child sexual exploitation, recognizes the FBI for the arrests of over 300 individuals in 16 cities last week.  The arrest sweeps rescued 21 juveniles from sex rings around the country. The sweeps are a result of the "Innocence Lost" the FBI, Department of Justice, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children initiative to end the trafficking and prostitution of children in this country.
