* NetSmartz411 is a free,
first-of-its-kind online service
provided by the National
Center for Missing &
Exploited Children and
funded by the Qwest Foundation.
* NetSmartz411 is designed to raise
Internet safety awareness and
provide expert advice; the site is an effective tool for every audience
including: children, parents, guardians and educators.
* For the first time, the general
public-especially parents and
guardians-have direct access to experts at the National Center
for
Missing & Exploited Children who can respond to their specific questions
and concerns about online safety through NetSmartz411.
* Besides Internet safety
information, NetSmartz411 provides
families with general information on computers and the web (How to
navigate the Internet, What are browsers, Information on Social
Networking Sites, emerging technology, etc).
