The National Law Center for Children and Families was represented at the National Symposium on Child Abuse from March 17-20 in Huntsville, Alabama.  Hosted by the National Children's Advocacy Center, the Symposium drew child advocates, law enforcement officers, and prosecutors from across the country.

Tiffany Richards, NLC Associate Counsel and NLC PROTECTS Program Director, was invited to speak at the Symposium.  Her presentation discussed how Child Advocacy Centers, non-profit organizations, and police departments alike can search and apply for funding from various sources.

"It was an honor to speak at the NCAC Symposium alongside so many respected presenters," said Ms. Richards.   "I appreciated the opportunity to share my experiences at the NLC with others who hope to obtain funding for their projects."

Participating in national conferences like the NCAC Symposium is an important part of the NLC's effort to reach others who are concerned with defending children and familes," said Richard Whidden, NLC Executive Director.

Ms. Richards has been invited to make a similar presentation on grant opportunities at the 20th Annual Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, Texas this August.  Registration for this national conference is now open.
