National Police Week: May 13-19, 2007 Print E-mail

In appreciation of the dedicated service of police officers across the country, the National Law Center for Children and Families is proud to support National Police Week.  We reflect upon officers who have fallen and would like to express our gratitude for the daily sacrifices made by officers.

May 15th has been National Peace Officers Memorial Day since President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726 on October 1, 1962.  The week containing May 15th is National Police Week.
