Child Defender Awarded to Orange County (FL) Sheriff's Office Print E-mail

The National Law Center for Children and Families recognized the work of the Orange County (FL) Sheriff's Office Computer Crimes Squad in Orlando, Florida on March 10, 2008.

The OCSO Computer Crimes Squad has been defending Central Florida's children for over 5 years by investigating and apprehending child predators and child pornographers. Additionally, the squad has been educating the public and media on cyber-threats to children.

"The depth of work that the Orange County Sheriff's Office Computer Crimes Squad has performed is remarkable. Their work in Central Florida and beyond, in collaboration with many other great law enforcement agencies, is to be applauded," said Richard Whidden, NLC Executive Director.
